This was an assignment undertaken for the Kenya Local Government Reform Programme (KLGRP) financed by the World Bank. The assignment entailed development of a simplified Accounting System for Local Authorities, including mapping up an implementation strategy in the eight local authorities currently included in the study, and throughout all the over 240 local authorities in Kenya.  Besides the designing of the simplified accounting system, we were also required to review the laws and staff development for ease of implementation.
