The assignment involved review of the implementation work to ascertain achievement of project objectives; project progress and constraints; impact of the project as a whole and by component; performance of collaborating institutions and government departments; and design reorientation as may be required to remove constraints and achieve the objectives. The assignment was completed in three weeks as provided in the contract; a wrap-up meeting held with all interested parties; and way forward for the implementation of the project agreed.

CDC undertook a mid term review whereby our recommendation included a three year extension of the project and a detailed implementation plan developed.
