Charity Gathuthi
Charity has over 30 years’ experience in capacity building, gender mainstreaming and community participation. She is a trained teacher and specialized in Participatory Methods of training, Policy Analysis and Development of Training Programmes.
Charity has a Post graduate Diploma in Training of Trainers, specialized in Participatory Methods, Policy Analysis and Development of Training Programmes and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nairobi
Key experiences include:
- For the Turnaround of Tea Cooperatives in Rwanda, she analysed the capacity building needs for the staff and board members of the cooperatives, developed appropriate training materials.
- Undertook Gender Mainstreaming Capacity Assessment and Training Workshops under AFREA Kenya Gender & Energy Program for Ministry of Energy and World Bank
- Gender Capacity Building Consultancy for WSUP and Partners in Nairobi and Naivasha under Water and Sanitation for the Urban Poor (WSUP) Programme in Kenya
