Charles Onchoke
Charles has over 30 years’ professional experience as a public finance management expert having worked in local government and National government where he retired as Director of Finance with The National Treasury of the Government of Kenya. He has experience in Financial Management and Corporate Governance having as Director of Finance at the National Treasury responsible for preparing and managing the departmental budgets; revenue forecasting and revenue collection for the revenue receivable by the Investment Secretary; drafting subsidiary loan agreements; accounting for vote head 164; handling audit queries; management of the Government share register and share certificates; maintaining the CSDRMS data base for the on-lent loans and direct loans; preparation of the Public Investment Committee Implementation Reports; preparation of financial reports/statements required of DGIPE under the Public Financial Management Act.
Charles has been involved in Corporate Restructuring: Revival of New KCC Ltd, Expansion of National Oil Corporation (NOCK), Rescue of Uchumi Supermarkets Ltd and Industrial and Commercial Development Corporation restructuring.
