Michael Nguri
Michael is a financial analyst and project management professional with over 10 years’ experience gained in consultancy environment. He began his career at CDC International as a trainee consultant specializing in financial analysis. Over time he has assisted several public and private organizations in economic modeling of their core businesses which has enabled them secure financing. Over the past two years he has been the assistant project manager for the Kenya Informal Settlements and Improvement Project (KISIP) where CDC was contracted to provide a Central Technical Assistance Team to assist the MoLHUD implement the KISIP.
Michael has also been seconded by CDC to other organizations as the project manager for certain key projects. These include Sanfields Group of Schools where he oversaw the expansion of a newly acquired institution from a student population of 50 students to over 300 students and a similar expansion of teaching and non-teaching staff to cater for them. Michael was also seconded to Mt. Kenya Heritage Center Ltd, a medium sized tourism company that seeks to promote and maintain Kenya’s cultural heritage and historical sites.
Michael has a Bachelor of Commerce from Murdoch University in Perth, Australia and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Project Management from the University of Nairobi.
